Our range of Fresenius Medical Care dialysis products fulfils the highest quality standards in the areas of acute and chronic peritoneal dialysis, chronic hemodialysis and acute kidney injury.
Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is in general the preferred treatment modality for pediatric patients to bridge the time until transplantation. It is easier to perform, less invasive than extracorporeal treatments and does not require anticoagulation. Our Fresenius Medical Care portfolio offers a comprehensive range of therapy systems adapted to the specific requirements of PD in pediatric patients.
PD-Paed Plus
PD-Paed Plus is designed to perform PD manually in premature babies, neonates and infants. It is an easy-to-use preassembled system for in-center use.
Key features:
- Easy to use
- Flexible treatment adaptation
- Reduced number of risk steps
- Excellent biocompatibility
- Low recirculation volume
sleep•safe

Hemodialysis (HD) is also a treatment option for children with chronic kidney disease. Older children and adolescents eventually prefer HD to PD because it affects less their body image than a PD catheter.
